This is another indie instrumental rock album from Explosions in the Sky that is worth listening to from start to finish. It starts off with a bang and continues on a journey that feels, in my opinion, introspective. “The Birth and Death of the Day” is a powerful, yearning track that seems outwardly confident at first but seemingly reveals an inward struggle towards the end of the song. The album eases into that struggle with “Welcome Ghosts”, but it’s the tracks “It’s Natural To Be Afraid” and “What Do You Go Home To?” where the album is at its most introspective point. But I shall let you listen for yourself to find out the rest. I highly recommend listening to this album in its entirety.
